On October 26, 2026, the opening day of the China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition (CIAME 2026) in Tianjin, Weichai LOVOL officially launched its ECVT series hybrid continuously variable transmission (CVT) tractors — a new platform built for the challenges facing large-scale farms — challenges North American growers know well: rising diesel costs, heavier implements, and a shrinking pool of skilled operators.
Conventional mechanical transmissions tend to lose power or burn extra fuel when shifting under heavy load. The ECVT hybrid platform is LOVOL's answer to the global market's demand for farm equipment that is efficient, low-carbon, and intelligent.

ECVT hybrid CVT: redefining heavy-duty efficiency
Deep tillage, subsoiling, and pulling large seeders are typical heavy-load jobs on large farms. The ECVT system uses intelligent power-split technology to balance power and fuel economy:
0-40 km/h (0-25 mph) intelligent stepless speed control: no frequent gear changes — the system automatically matches engine speed and electric-drive torque to soil resistance and load, for continuous, uninterrupted power delivery.
Engine kept in its optimal fuel-efficiency zone: through intelligent oil-electric power coupling, LOVOL reports working efficiency up by more than 30% and fuel consumption down by more than 20% compared with conventional models.
Instant high-torque response: when soil resistance spikes, the electric motor instantly adds torque to prevent speed loss or stalling, keeping traction stable.

Intelligent "triple-suspension" cab: lower skill barrier, less fatigue
To address the worldwide shortage of experienced operators, LOVOL has combined engineering-grade comfort with intelligent control: a drive-by-wire chassis, headland management, automatic path planning, and hill-hold assist. Even operators with little experience can get started quickly and work precisely.
The "triple-suspension" damping system — a suspended front axle, suspended cab, and suspended seat — absorbs shocks in stages, complemented by an intelligent armrest console and a quiet cab, for up to 14 hours of high-intensity continuous work with less fatigue.
Proven reliability: 2,000 hours of bench testing plus 200,000 mu (about 33,000 acres) of field testing
The ECVT driveline was developed in-house, the electric systems use zoned temperature control, and the tractors are powered by Weichai engines. The series went through 2,000 hours of bench testing plus 200,000 mu of field testing across plowing, subsoiling, and soil preparation. A high-flow hydraulic system delivers strong traction and lifting capacity to match high-end air seeders, hydraulic reversible plows, and other heavy implements.
LOVOL is accelerating the shift of farm machinery toward high-end, intelligent, and green solutions. The launch of the ECVT platform marks a step forward in hybrid powertrain technology for large farms — and a preview of more efficient farming to come.
Buyers and dealers from North America had the opportunity to examine LOVOL's high-end tractors and intelligent supporting solutions up close at the exhibition. LOVOL continues to strengthen its North American localization: developing model versions suited to local working conditions and building a stable parts supply and dealer service network — meeting the demand from North American large-scale farms for high-performance tractor equipment.
